Testo 470 digital tachometer with softcase, reflective markers, adapter, probe tip, wheels, batteries and calibration protocol.
Testo 470 RPM Contact and Non Contact digital tachometer measurements of RPM on motors, shafts, fans, etc., also determine speeds and lengths
Do you need to measure the rpm of rotating objects or record the length and speed of conveyor belts and rotors? The testo 470 RPM measuring instrument is a compact tool that makes it possible to carry out these measurements.
Multiple functions in one digital tachometer
In the case of optical rpm measurement, you can use the testo 470 RPM measuring instrument to record how fast a rotating object rotates. Thus, for example, you can check whether motors, shafts and fans are functioning correctly in order to spot any impending defects due to overload at an early stage.
For rpm measurement, simply stick a reflective marker on the measurement object and aim the visible red beam at the reflective marker. The measurement can then start (at a distance of up to 600 mm between digital tachometer and measurement object). The digital tachometer is easy to operate using one hand.
However, the testo 470 RPM measuring instrument not only provides the functions of an optical tachometer, it also functions as a mechanical tachometer: Attach the adapter for the probe tip and measure the rpm mechanically. Attach the wheel to also measure speeds and lengths of rotors/conveyor belts.

Lux probe – features
The lux probe is ideal for determining the illuminance in workplaces. It assesses the illuminance according to the V-lambda curve, which corresponds to the sensitivity of the human eye in daylight. White or warm light LEDs (K< 5,000) can also be measured without any problem.
The 1.4 m cable length means that you can place the probe directly at the measuring location and carry out the measurement from a sufficient distance. So the readings are not affected by your shadow.
The clearly structured measurement menu for long-term measurement enables the measuring instrument to be operated intuitively. Reading trends are reliably recorded thanks to the convenient input of measurement time and measuring cycle.
Intelligent calibration concept
You will get exceptionally accurate measurement results with the digital probe, because the measuring instrument makes measurement uncertainty a thing of the past. You only need to send the probe in for calibration – so the measuring instrument remains in continuous use.
Areas of application for the lux probe
Light conditions play an important role, particularly in the ergonomic assessment of workplaces. In order for light to also be good light, the illuminance must meet certain minimum values.
Use the lux probe to check the illuminance in offices and production areas, hospitals, museums or schools with reliability.

Very high light intensity of up to 1500 Lux
Long operating time thanks to battery life up to 5 h
Ideal for tough applications thanks to impact protection and IP65
Trigger input and output
High measuring range: up to 300000 flashes per minute (fpm)
The testo 477 LED stroboscope makes stunningly fast movements look as if they are taking place in slow motion. This allows you to check and inspect machines and systems while they are still running, and measure speeds of up to 300,000 rpm.
It is impossible to tell with the naked eye if the thread guide of a knitting machine is working properly. It is therefore equally impossible to tell if there are any irregularities in vibration or rotational processes of machines or systems. But it’s a different story with the testo 477 LED stroboscope. That’s because the stroboscope emits a series of flashes which makes what you see appear as a “frozen image”.
The testo 477 LED stroboscope can also measure the rotational speed of very small and hard-to-reach objects. And because there’s no need for reflex marks, there’s no need to stop the machines and no disruption to production processes either.
LED stroboscope – technical features
An extremely high measurement range of up to 300,000 flashes per minute (fpm) and a very high illumination of up to 1500 Lux allow you to carry out rotational speed measurements of up to 300,000 rpm. A trigger input and output ensure connectivity to external systems and control via an external sensor.
The LED stroboscope’s integrated impact protection and sturdy IP65 rated housing(which also allows it to be wiped down) ensure that the testo 477 can stand up to the rough and tumble of everyday use. And thanks to a longer battery operating time, you can carry out uninterrupted measurements for up to 5 hours.
